The Last Edwardian Steamship: A Canadian Legacy
Discover the rich history of the SS Keewatin, the last remnant of the Canadian Pacific Railway’s Steamship Service through the Great Lakes from 1881 to 1965. Integral to the history of the Canadian west, these ships provided an invaluable transportation link for new Canadians to Alberta and Saskatchewan during the late 19th century, and for tourism well into the 20th century. Celebrate the 112th anniversary of the SS Keewatin with a talk by SS Keewatin Museum President Eric Conroy and ROM’s Corey Keeble.
